An easy way to do it is by filling 1/3rd of the kitchen sink with warm water. Add in a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Hold the glass utensils and dip them in this water. You can use a soft sponge to clean the utensils. Rinse thoroughly with normal water.
After washing the glass utensils, don't put them together with other utensils inside the steep dish drainer. Always put the glass bowls, glasses, and plates on a dish pat or a clean towel. Place the utensils downwards. It is best to let them dry naturally and not use a cloth to clean the utensils or they can leave a residue.
A lot of times our glass plates and bowls start to show a cloudy residue on the outside. You can clean it with a mix of vinegar and warm water. Take a cup of water and mix it with 2 tbsp of vinegar. Dip a clean cloth in this mix and then gently wipe the utensils with this cloth. Make sure you rinse the utensils with running water after doing this remedy as it will take away any pungent smell.
It can get a little difficult to get rid of the burnt stains but baking soda can do the magic. Add water and 2 tbsp of baking soda in the glass cookware and bring to boil. This will help remove the burned stains. Keep it for 5 minutes and then rinse the utensil.
You might want to use a harsh scrubber to get rid of those stubborn stains but they can end up leaving scratches, marks on your utensils. It is best to use a nylon scrubbing pad or a soft sponge to clean the glass utensils. They are gentle on the utensils and don't leave any marks.
Use Lemon To Get Back That Shine
With time, glass utensils start to lose their shine and an easy home remedy to get back that shine is by using lemon. Cut a lemon into half and start rubbing the utensils with it. Lemon is a natural brightening agent and will help give your utensils a beautiful shine, making them look new.
